Unfold explores artists’ books as multilayered objects that reveal a reconstruction of practice and a story of interconnectedness.

Western Australian invited artists interrogate and reinvent their traditional disciplines to create carefully crafted books that unfold their connections to land, humanity and place.

Binding, stitching, printing, folding and manipulating, the artists reinvent their diverse range of practice (printmaking, drawing, painting, textiles, collage, ceramics, photography and animation) to offer precious objects that extend the artists’ visual language, unveiling personal techniques and explorative notions for the viewer to decode.
